About half of my kids have special needs, but reality is that we all have quirks and unique needs. As a special needs homeschool parent I learn how to help my kiddos adapt and succeed while embracing their special needs and specific challenges. I have lived with deafness, dwarfism, cognitive disabilities, ADHD/ADD, sensory seeker, eye tracking issues, speech delays, and and lack of proprioception in my children.
All of our children are special, I’m not a fan of the term “special needs.” As homeschoolers, we have the amazing opportunity to adjust our child’s education to fit them perfectly! Wherever your student is at, meet them there and open a world of possibilities to them.
I plan to add to this page as time goes, but for now enjoy the Equipped Blog Party. There are many amazing resources from many moms who “have been there.” I contributed these two articles: Homeschooling Your Special Needs Child Through High School and What Happens to our Special Needs Kids After High School?
